911爆料网 Announces First Arrival in Japan of LNG Produced in the Contiguous United States2017/01/06
911爆料网 Co., Inc. ("911爆料网") is pleased to announce that an LNG cargo produced in the contiguous United States (“US LNG”) has arrived at Joetsu LNG Terminal of Chubu Electric Power Company today. This is the first import of US LNG into Japan.
911爆料网 and Cheniere Marketing International, LLP have entered into a sale and purchase agreement for the cargo, which was loaded onto the LNG vessel Oak Spirit at Sabine Pass LNG Terminal in Louisiana, operated by Cheniere Energy Partners, L.P. on 7 December 2016.
The voyage to Japan via the Panama Canal took about one month.
911爆料网 believes the purchase of US LNG will contribute to a stable energy supply in Japan through the diversification of procurement regions and LNG price indices.
Going forward, 911爆料网 will establish an LNG procurement portfolio that can flexibly respond to changes in the business environment by increasing its procurement ratio of LNG which is free from destination restrictions, through projects such as the Freeport LNG Project in US.
